Recycling Old TVs, Radios, Computers & Electronics

The Hamilton 58th Scout Troop wants you to give them all your old TV’s, radios, cell phones and electronics for recycling.

June 24th in the Lowe’s Parking lot on Barton Street the local scouting group will be collecting broken and obsolete electronics for proper recycling by the Ontario Electronics Stewardship. They will be on hand to unload items from your vehicles from 10 am to 2 pm along with used clothing for the Ontario Federation for Cerebral Palsy. Have a large stock pile of items in your garage, business or crawl space that you cannot get to Lowe’s? Call Scouter Paul 905-512-2451 and they will arrange for a pickup before the event. Check out RecycleMyElectronics.ca for a full list of acceptable items.

The staff at Putney’s Brake and Alignment will collect any items dropped off at 574 Wentworth Street North the week before the event to be shipped out on the big day.

Scouts have been protecting the environment for over 100 years in Canada and they will continue to follow this important mandate.
